Call to Worship
We begin each week with a scripture reading known as the Call to Worship. This serves as a reminder that all true worship begins with God –He is the one who initiates this divine conversation with His people and we respond.
Scripture Reading: Psalm 86:8-10
There is none like you among the gods, O Lord, nor are there any works like yours. All the nations you have made shall come and worship before you, O Lord, and shall glorify your name. For you are great and do wondrous things; you alone are God.
Song: “How Great Thou Art” by Stuart Wesley Keene Hine
Song: “Precious Children” by Meghan Baird, Abbott Jones, and Joel Sczebel
Song: “Lord, I Need You” by Daniel Carson, Matt Maher, Christy Nockels, Jesse Reeves, and Kristian Stanfill
Responsive Scripture Reading: Hebrews 10:19-23
Therefore, brothers, since we have confidence to enter the holy places by the blood of Jesus, by the new and living way that he opened for us through the curtain, that is, through his flesh, and since we have a great priest over the house of God,
let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, with our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful.
Song: “O, My Soul Arise” by Eric McAllister and Charles Wesley
The Preaching of God’s Word
Scripture Reading: Philippians 2:14-18
Sermon: Lights In the World, Philippians 2:14-18
Worship Through Response
Song: “All I Have Is Christ” by Jordan Kauflin
Song: “Mighty To Save” by Ben Fielding and Reuben Morgan
Every week before we leave, we receive a benediction, or blessing, from God’s Word. Just as the worship gathering begins with God’s call, it ends with God’s promise of his blessing over us as we leave to go and be the church.
Benediction and Sending: 2 Thessalonians 3:16
Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times in every way. The Lord be with you all.
Go and be the church.
