Worship in Song
“O For A Thousand Tongues To Sing” by Carl Gotthelf Glaser and Charles Wesley
This old song serves as our call to worship this week, inviting us to join with the “saints below and the saints above” singing praise and glory to our God.
O, for a thousand tongues to sing
My great Redeemer’s praise
The glories of my God and King
The triumphs of His grace
“When You Move” by Steve Cook and Vikki Cook
We have been shown much mercy and grace through Jesus Christ. As believers, we understand that the same grace that saves us from the penalty of sin is the same grace that is saving us from the power of sin in our lives. It is only through the work of the Holy Spirit that we experience true life change. We can modify our behavior and discipline ourselves to sin less but our hearts and minds will not change unless God intervenes.
For when You move our lives are changed
We know a taste of heaven here
We’re crying out for more of You
Lord, come and move
“You are the salt of the earth, but if salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled under people’s feet. You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.”
