Nehemiah: Restoring The Ruins
The preaching team spends a significant amount of time in prayer and preparation of sermon series. We are particularly excited to dive into the Old Testament book of Nehemiah. Beginning in January, we’re going to spend 9-11 weeks or so in book of Nehemiah, preaching verse by verse though this fascinating narrative. The content of this book really hits the idea of restoration and redemption, not just of an ancient wall but the restoration of hearts and people. Nehemiah is a leader who accomplishes much by obedience and faith in God’s providence. Building the wall is a metaphor for something far more important than brick and mortar. And although the wall was completed in 52 days, the work continued long after that.
God restores. God redeems. He turns our ruins into walls of strength and security for His glory and our joy.
