We don’t try to fit into any one particular worship style. We sing songs that glorify and honor God while lifting up the name of Jesus Christ. We don’t just sing about Jesus, we sing to Jesus. We want our worship to be thoughtful as well as theological. Ultimately our worship is Cross-centered, which is to say worship that is in view of the powerful work of salvation that Jesus has accomplished on the Cross 2000 years ago. Worship is always centered on the reading and preaching of God’s Word. We believe that the Bible is full of truth for today. The Preaching Team desires to teach scripture and explain the Bible in an understandable and life-changing way.
Our services last approximately 80 minutes. Sometimes a service may go longer, but due to having multiple services we strive to keep services at this length of time.
Lord’s Supper – As a church, sharing communion is a significant event where we gratefully acknowledge together that the death of Christ is full payment for the sins we’ve committed against a holy God. If you yourself have turned from your sin and trusted Jesus Christ as Savior, we welcome you to participate in communion. Scripture teaches that communion is reserved for the follower of Christ, so only believers should take communion. Likewise, young children who have not yet confessed Jesus as Lord and Savior should not participate. If you are not yet a Christ follower, we invite you to do more than simply watch. Please consider what’s taking place, and perhaps recognize your need for a Savior and God’s provision in Jesus Christ.
At The Point, we generally serve communion at the end of the sermon. Communion servers are placed at the front and back of each aisle. Simply take a piece of bread and dip it in the cup.
Offering – As followers of Christ and members of this church, we joyfully participate in giving a portion of our income in a regular and sacrificial way. Guests: please do not feel obligated to give money. Offering Baskets and tables are placed on the perimeter of the seating area. Offering envelopes are available in the seat pockets.
