The mission of The Point is to be a New Testament church existing for the supremacy of the name and purpose of Jesus Christ.
The Vision for The Point Community Church is that our Core Values of Teaching Truth, Worshipping Jesus, Living in Community, and Missional Living are expressed through our members and extended to our community.
Teach Truth…we are transformed.
Truth is absolutely essential. We want to follow Jesus’ example in all things at The Point. God in the flesh considered the Scriptures a natural and vital way of communicating Truth. We treat God’s Word as worthy of savoring with our time, attention, and study. We want to live as apprentices of Jesus while learning to love Him more deeply as we know Him more fully. That kind of love can’t help but spill over into a greater love for people.
Worship Jesus…we are worshippers.
Worship is central to what we do because once we understand God and his grace offered through His Son Jesus Christ, we can’t help but worship. Worship at The Point is much more than music. It involves prayer, listening and responding to the Word preached, giving, and lifting our voices in praise to the glory of God.
Live In Community…we are authentic.
Our vision of living in community is expressed through any number of small group environments where people gather for fellowship and study of God’s Word. We seek to develop a movement of missional groups where true community, care and growth take place.
Live On Mission…we are missionaries.
Before Jesus returned to the Father, He left the church with instructions to make disciples from all nations. A disciple isn’t a merely a church-member, a religious person, or a fanatic. A disciple is someone who is captivated with the beauty of Christ and is following hard after Him. We want to be those kinds of believers and we want to help others know Him as we do. We are convinced that the most effective way to spread the Gospel and multiply Jesus followers is through church planting, missional living and serving our world.
Acts 1:8 is our model, “…and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth”
- Jerusalem (Central Kentucky)
- Judea (United States)
- Samaria (North America and beyond)
- Ends of the Earth (unreached peoples)
