Life happens in groups at The Point. These groups are known as Point Community Groups (PCGs) and are a terrific way to get connected and grow in your faith. Groups are strategically located throughout the area and scheduled so that everyone should be able find a group that meets their needs and schedule.
This is based on the conviction that a person cannot be fully obedient to God’s Word if they are not closely connected to a small group of other believers.
This model is taken directly from the early church. Acts 2:42-47 describes the lifestyle of the members of the church in 30 AD: people meeting regularly – in HOMES – growing and making an impact in their community.
Sunday large-group gatherings serve primarily as a catalyst to encourage life transformation (people changing/growing); Community Groups complement the corporate worship experience at The Point.
All TPCC members commit to become an active participant in a Community Group when they become a member.
Community Groups provide in-depth study and application of how to make this life transformation become real in people’s lives. They are designed to provide a predictable, small-group environment where participants experience authentic community, accountability, spiritual growth, and a base for living missionally.
The primary purpose of these groups is (1) missional living in Biblical community and (2) Bible Study.
