Elders & Staff

Elders

We seek to be a truly Biblical, New Testament church in all that we do. One way this is expressed at The Point is in the areas of leadership as we have a Biblical Eldership. Essentially our elders serve as shepherds that guide the church. We believe that this leadership model, a plurality of elders, is a true Biblical model of church leadership.

The local church, as described in the New Testament, was always led by a team of elders (also known as pastors, overseers, or shepherds). The Point functions in the same way, with a team of pastors who work together to lead the church. Some pastors work primarily at one of our campuses, some work with both campuses. Each pastor has a different role, but they all work together as one team.

This structure provides accountability, protection, shared burden, and shared teaching responsibilities, among other things.
